Cod Fish Tacos Recipe

Ingredients

For Batter:-
1. Egg (1)
2. all purpose flour (1c)
3. baking powder (1tsp)
4. beer (1c)
5. salt (1/2tsp)
6. cornstarch (2tbsp)

For White Sauce:-
1. Mayonnaise (1/2c)
2. minced capers (1tsp)
3. ground cumin (1/2tsp)
4. ground cayenne pepper (1tsp)
5. dried dill weed (1/2tsp)
6. dried oregano (1/2tsp)
7. minced jalapeno pepper (1)
8. juiced lime (1)
9. plain yogurt (1/2c)
10. Finely shredded cabbage (1/2medium)
11. corn tortillas (1 package about 12 ounce)
12. oil for frying (1quart)
13. cod fillets, cut into 2 to 3 ounce parts (1 pound)

Method Of Preparation:-
1. First to prepare beer batter, take a bowl of large size. Mix cornstarch, flour, salt and baking powder in the bowl.

2. Take another bowl, beat beer and egg in it and then pour it at once into the flour mixture and mix it well.

3. To prepare white sauce, take a bowl of medium size. Add mayonnaise and yogurt in it and then mix the juice of fresh lime in it. Now add cayenne, dill, cumin, oregano, capers and jalapeno in it. Mix all the ingredients well to form batter.

4. Take a deep frying pan, heat oil in it to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F. Sprinkle the flour mixture lightly on fish pieces and then dip the pieces in beer batter.

5. Now put the fish pieces in hot oil and fry them until they get golden brown color and become crispy. Drain the fried fish on paper towels and then lightly fry the tortillas in hot oil. Drain the tortillas and then place them on serving plate.

6. Now place the fried fish in tortillas and fold them. Then top the tortillas with white sauce and shredded cabbage. Now the cod fish taco is ready to serve.
