Brazilian Fish Stew Recipe

Ingredients
1. Boneless fillets of any firm whitefish (2 1/2pounds)
2. small shrimps, peeled, deveined and tail removed (1/2pound)
3. chopped fresh cilantro (1/4c)
4. minced garlic (1tbsp)
5. coarsely chopped canned tomatoes (3c)
6. chopped onions (2c)
7. stemmed, seeded and chopped jalapeno (1)
8. salt and pepper (to taste)
9. vegetable oil (3tbsp)
10. fish stock or water (1/2c)
11. stemmed, seeded and diced green bell pepper (1)
12. stemmed, seeded and diced red bell pepper (1)
13. chile pepper (1/2tsp)
14. Juices (of 2 lime)

Method of preparation:-
1. Take fish fillets; cut them into bite size pieces. Cut the shrimps in half lengthwise. Place them in shallow nonreactive bowl and keep them aside.

2. Take a food processor fitted with metal blade. Mix tomatoes, garlic, Chile, cilantro, onion, lime juice, jalapeno, oil, salt and pepper in the processor and process them until they get smooth. Pour this mixture over the fish and allow to marinate for about 1 hour.

3. Take a heavy saucepan, place the marinate fish in it and cook it over medium heat. Add the fish stock and bell peppers in it. Reduce the heat to low and keep it to simmer for about 10 minutes or until it gets cooked. Serve it immediately with rice.
